About JcMonster Workshop

Hi peeps 👋, I'm Joanne, founder and owner of JcMonster Workshop. My journey with ceramics began at the tender age of 6 when my mom took me to a local ceramic studio while she attended English classes. I instantly fell in love with it, and the passion for creating things never left me, though life led me down different paths for a while.

That early experience of bringing my ideas to life ignited a lifelong fascination with product design. My graduation project: Dining ware for nomads, won me a BA degree with honors from HKPU in industrial product design. During this period, I had the opportunity to delve into the essence of design and its profound influence on user experience. Seeking to enhance my skills further, I relocated to the Netherlands and completed my engineering master's program at TU Delft.

Throughout my decade-long career in the tech industry, where I progressed from a product designer to a product owner, I always yearned for a tangible and creative outlet. That's when I decided to return to ceramics classes. This is where most of my learning happened. The feeling of conversing with the clay fascinated me, and I found a way to combine my knowledge and aesthetics.

In 2023, I embarked on a new adventure by moving to Spain and made a commitment to establish my own ceramic business. My aim is to combine my knowledge, passion, and aesthetics to create beautiful and meaningful ceramic creations. Thank you for joining me in this exciting endeavor!
